Hey guys-- came up with a new mold this week. Have a new position at work and its kept me from doing much of anything else but I did manage to come up with the idea of using the shoulder area of a wine bottle to make a good mold. Check it out:
I used my diamond wheel of the dremel to cut the neck and the body off the bottle leaving me the rounded shoulder part. It makes a pot that is more the size I want for larger bean leaf and smaller normal leaf varieties, which i tend to prefer. Since the mold is glass, it too can be fired without worry. It's a great shape and size!

Great idea! If you wanted it larger, you could use the larger size wine bottle. Best of all, it gives you a excuse to drink wine. My brother and I once emptied a blue bottle of wine in order to put dried flowers in it.

Thanks! And a side benefit is that I use a wine bottle to help me mound neos-- and since this mold is made with the bottle's neck cut off, another wine bottle neck will fit perfectly
The wine itself is reason enough to have it

Orchids and wine are both good for your health.
