I love it! I need to get some polymer clay, and also the Darwinara that I have been wanting. It would be cool to do the pot in colours that would go with a blue darwinara

Looks good. I like the cork screw rim, a neat variation on the rope rim. I like your choice of colors too. Are you ready to try some lattice work? Glad the pull and stretch method worked for you, too! Worked great for me, too. I did it the first time and was like, duh! So simple!

Find a pot you like, line it with foil, and get forming!

I never would have figured out to stretch the clay...never. Lol. That is all your doing. I also have no idea of how to do lattice except on a pie crust. You asked me when I did my first pot if I was pleased with it. I can truly answer that question now. I am pleased with the structure. I learned that baking the main part of the pot just enough for it to harden then do the rim and feet is magic. To think two weeks ago I was searching eBay for a pot under $60. Haha that is over.

Lattice is easy if you have the right tools and a steady hand. Oh and patience! I use a dremel to drill the holes but you could use other means. And lattice doesn't need to be uniform either, I just prefer it.
Quay and I have been discussing using decals and have grabbed a few good graphics off google.

Bob I have been taking the tips Ryan has posted and they all work beautifully. Btw, I just finished cherry blossoms on the pot I made today. What fun! I will post it once the paint dries and I glaze it. It turned out so so but I like painting regardless of the outcome. . It is relaxing.

Bob Quay, you'll get your tutorial.
If nothing else, Quay is persistent That's meant as a compliment, of course!
Quay keep us updated on your painting. i wish I were better with mine but I guess practice makes it better. I think the newest pot will be lattice again, but different colors. Maybe I'll try a new pot tomorrow with my 60D recording the different steps. I'm thinking a youtube post.
Ginger-- where are the pics?
