I saw that one, picked it up, put it back down, picked it up again, put it back down again. I'm not comfortable with less than 50% green.

I was there Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded as Friday last year (25% less?) or Saturdays on previous years, had great parking in Ft. Mason (many spots very close to the building) no circling the lot. Less vendors, too. A little concerned about that.

I understand how you feel about the health of this plant's future, being so yellow. It was a fully green plant attached to it. So I'm planning on keeping them together in order for the non variegated one to act as a host. Haha. I also spotted a small Yamato-nishiki sprouting out. It's tiny but definitely there. Which is why I decided to purchase it :). Super cute.

The parking was slightly easier this year. I hope next year gets better.

POE was this weekend. Got a bunch of new orchids and one new Nepenthes (N. hamata) to add to my collection. The only Neo that came home with me was a purchase I made today but was eyeing since yesterday.

The expo was amazing, although I feel as if the selection this year was not as great. Perhaps I went too late, as I did arrive on Saturday and apparently Friday was the busiest and best day to go.
It was great seeing Satomi and Coffeecup!

Yeah I didn't go until today :(
BUT there were a lot of plants that were 50% off :)

Nice pick-up and a new one to add to my ever growing want list...

Okay brianwstephens and bk10, if you have a collection of Neofinetia you MUST share! New thread of your own with lots of pictures! LOL!

Okay Matt. I hear you. I'll see what I can do this weekend.

A cautionary tale about that: Make sure you remove any soap bars from the path of the shower.

Apparently a bar of Irish Spring Icy Blast on the shower shelf, which a little of the shower stream was running across, poisoned 4 of my Neos to varying degrees. By the next day, leaves turned an ugly drab olive shade and some newer roots completely shriveled (and blackened at the tips). I realized later that the affected plants were the ones that would have been nearest the front of the tub, right under the shower shelf.

Oh that is terrible so sorry; we really have to protect our babies. I have a bar of Dial dangerously close to my Neos watering sink I will get it out of the way ASAP. Thanks for letting us know the danger of soap...I had no idea.

My neo collection

OMG! Jayfar, not any of your highly prized Neos? I hope not. I would turn olive brown and die, if that happened to ANY of my Neos. Fortunately, the only time I had a problem, it was with my Yasura Takuma, which I posted about in August 2013. But New World Orchids replaced it.

I would stop using that soap on myself, if I were you!
