Katoclay is very similar to fimo clay. They're both polymers.
Here is the finished product.
I like making holes in the sides of these pots because all of the training pots my neos are in have open sides and everything dries out more evenly. My other two self made pots have substantial ventilation as a result. This one hasn't nearly as much so it'll be interesting to see if this one works well too. The hole on the bottom of this one is much larger than the others.

I've been following everything you post with interest! I'm wanting to make a hanging container to go with a hygrolon mount that will allow the mount to be self watering. This would be a much, much simpler pot than the great ones you've designed. But I'm wondering about how long your pots take you from start to finish?
Also would these be water tight if you didn't paint them?
I've also totally stolen your hanging s/h glass globe idea and will be making some of those as soon as I get everything I need.
You are a fount of creative inspiration! Thanks!

Thanks for the kind comments. Start to finish, if I had the time to do it straight through, takes me about two hours. You need to knead the clay pretty well before it lends itself to forming. That takes a lot of time. Once it's done though, the pot takes little time to complete. The poly clay is a little sticky so using a mold has proven difficult. However, i lined the mold with foil and it works perfectly.
You do not need to seal this clay. It hardens in the oven and it a polymer so once it hardens using it as a pot will be fine.

Excellent! I think you mentioned in your previous post about it taking a long time so I was thinking more like 30 hours
But how cool that you can make pots that look this nice in just a couple of hours!

No sometimes it'll take me all week to make a pot but it isn't continuous time. I often only get fifteen minutes here and there to add to the design. It would take about two to three hours per.
