I use the isopropyl alcohol plan for the Meyers Lemon and other indoor fruit trees and have to swab trunk, leaf stems, and branches...a pain. I check every two weeks to see if the scale has returned. I will probably buy lady bugs this spring. Just recently read, though, that (neem?) oil does a nice job of snuffing scale. That could probably be used in the home and won't hurt the fruit. I won't be able to use my bay, cinnamon, tea, or allspice leaves for a year as they were treated with the systemic. I might ask at the garden center to see if they have some neem oil for next time. Good luck!
