Neofinetia with spots on the underside of leaves

I made an order at New World Orchids last week and my orchids came in yesterday. I received Shutennou, Benisuzume and Kuro Shinju. These are first Neofinetias so I am not really sure if these spots are normal or not.

The first one is a photo of my Shutennou and the second is Benisuzume. I did not take a photo of Kuro Shinju because it's rather difficult to really snap a pic, however, I do see some of these spots on it as well.

I actually plucked the spotted leaf off from the Shutennou.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Fungus?

It doesn't feel concave or a raised bump.

Do all of the leaves look like these? My gut tells me they're imperfection from less than ideal conditions but it isn't something you should be too concerned about.

My gut is with Ryan. It looks to me like some of the older leaved were damaged slightly.

I can't see it clearly but could that be purple spots from receiving high light? I have a Shutennou that develop purple spots from artificial light.

Thanks for the affirmation! I sent NWO an email and Glenn contacted me back saying they are probably just "sun kissed" and they should be fine. In other words, they were probably just overexposed to the sun. No biggie.

I'm glad to find this thread. My neo has lots of spots too and was worried I had an infection.

These guys are definitely showing exposure to high light. Not necessarily bad but I think they could use a little less light if they appeared under your conditions. If they there there before you got them then I wouldn't change anything and see how your plants adapt.

I grow my Neos in a south facing window during winter, some get quite purpley. I have one that apparently is more sensitive to sun (burns in same light my others take), it has some foliage completely covered with the pigment, even growing in lower light than the others.

Does the pigmentation ever return to green in lower light?
