Neofinetia falcata help

Hey everybody,

I jumped into this beauty head first and I have a few questions on when to repot it and how dry to keep it during the winter. I plan on keeping it on a souther window sill.


I was thinking of just using hydroton but I've also been looking into the Japanese style of repotting it. I suppose sphagnum will make it easier to water. Maybe watering it once a week during the winter.... It shouldn't loose any leaves or anything like that right?

Any advise would be helpful.

The best time to repot n. falcata is early spring when the plant begins to grow. I would keep the n. falcata damp in the winter but not too wet. It also appreciates high humidity and Intermediate to cool temperatures during winter. This is not a deciduous orchid, so it should not lose its leaves. Good Luck.
