Wow! I never really got into neos ... I had one at some point in time but don't recall what happened to it.

Would you mind sharing your care information with all of us? I might have purchase a couple and try to grow them again.

Aw thanks everyone I do really love this plant! I think it looks good even when out of bloom, tho obviously looks even better when it's blooming!

I did luck out finding this one already big and really cheap a couple years ago at a retail nursery. Of course it has grown in the two years since, but it was a good size when I got it.

This one I have grown indoors only, tho I do have a small mounted Neo division that has grown outside year 'round for a couple of years.

Mid-spring thru mid-fall it is on a windowsill getting some afternoon light; in winter it's in a south facing window. I have my heat set rather low in winter, so temps will generally be 60-65, low 50s overnight. Summer temps are whatever the weather gives us, tho when it's very hot out, it is slightly cooler inside than out. So, usual summer temps inside will vary from upper 60s overnight to sometimes mid 80s (occasionally higher during EXTREMELY hot weather), tho usually mid-upper 70s during the day.

*** My outside Neo (not big enough to bloom probably - hopefully soon!) has taken whatever temps nature gives us - around freezing for short periods overnight in winter (tho sheltered from frost and freeze), to short periods upper 90s or even just over 100 for short periods during heat spells (night temps are always a good deal cooler, even during heat spells). ***

Potted in a mix of small bark chips, chunky perlite, pumice, have a styro pnut or two in the center.

I water when it's dry, or very nearly so. It has lots of crazy aerial roots which I spritz every couple of days in hot dry weather, 2-3 times a week in milder weather.

This one starts the spikes shortly after it has finished blooming (or it has the couple of years I have had it - I got it right after it finished blooming two years ago) - and they sit there just poking out from the foliage a bit, not doing anything for months, until mid-late spring when they will grow just slightly, but then really kick in to growing in summer.

The first year I had it, I fertilized the same as most of my orchids until winter. This past year it got maybe 1/3 or so strength fertilizer until winter. I did not fertilize at all this past winter, tho now understand they can take a little bit in winter, tho it obviously was fine without it

Thanks to everyone for their very kind comments
