Very nice plant. I love the bright floral note of the scent.

You know, since I have learned to not over-water, I'm finding that Neos seem to be quite 'tough' little plants. Can survive periods with little water, take temps from quite high, to pretty low (for orchids), and just keep going. I've become quite enamored of them

Beautiful plant Nenella! Your mount with pantyhose is neat, and very unusual!
I thought that I was terrible with Neos (mine are dead), but now that I've tried a Neosytlis, I realize what my mistake was; trying to grow them in the sphag mounds. Sphag and I don't get along, I don't know what I was thinking to grow them in sphag. The Neostylis is so easy in bark.

Oops! Camille is falling of the wagon!
I grow a lot of mine in bark and they grow beautifully!
Say, I know this guy who owes you a Neo. for correctly naming Santa's 10 reindeer a couple of years ago. Maybe you should send him a PM and see if he'll smuggle one into the EU through the post.
Cheers.

Falling off the wagon again you mean!
Don't worry, I have plenty of access to Neos. A UK grower has a dozen or so varieties (korean names though) and every year in June Glenn from NWO is in Europe. Missed the deadline this year, but I'll get some practice with the UK Neos, and get some more next June!

Nice plant. Isn't neo season just great ! Now get yourself a N. richardsiana, one of the amami types ( bloom a little later ) and Beniotome (hybrid, very late blooming) and hey presto neo season is extended.

Wonderful looking plant and blooms. I agree with others who've mentioned the attractive symmetry of the fans.

Thanks Flexdc, Sonya, Camille, Neodex & Steve!
I am really happy as It was the only one I had and it just grows and grows and once it was mature enough to spike it's giving me more & more spikes every year!
So now I believe I have mastered the growing.... I ordered & have received an N. richardsiana ! (Thanks Camille for telling me where to buy one! )
It's TINY! Compared to my falcata when I got it - I reckon it's going to be at least 5 years before I see a spike! (even though the grower says 2 years) well that's a challenge...
received bare root in a tiny plastic bag and I have now mounted it.
