Sorry Camille, I don't have these in any of my books.
Maybe Hakumin knows these. If you like the plant don't be put off by not having a Japanese name. Although GP don't have it, if you want a bean leaf variety that flowers very well I can recommend that you look out for Ootakamaru (I'll post mine when it flowers ... in bud now). Generally the more sort after traditional varieties from Japan start at about £25 or so as a guide. They currently also have Amanogawa and Setsuzan, white and yellow tiger types respectively, although you have to buy the pot for the second one.
What Neo books do you have and what do you consider your Neo bible? Right now, I only have book #2 what I got from Glenn. It's the blue book with the number 315 in the subtitle. Neofinetia Books
You guys are great!! I found one of Greeny Pottery's plants in your list Tim; Eoseongbokryun.
There's also a beanleaf that I like, Hwachoen (華泉). Any ideas? Also for Geochwi (巨翠)?
Eosungbokryun - 어성복륜 - 御城覆輪 - Gojyofukurin
Pretty common
Hwacheon - 화천 - 花泉 - Kasen
My sources say that it's a beanleaf similar to Isechabo but with a thick axis. Says that there's also a striped version in existence.
Geochwi - 거취 - 巨翠 - Oomidori
It says that this one is a large plant with gently curved leaves close to being wankyokuba (leaves curved like seikai) Originates in Kyushu.
I think I'm going to compile all these name translations from here and the other thread into one new thread, and then sticky it. It'll be easily accessible since this is such great info to have!

Cheers.

I have that same book plus just the SE catalog. In Dec 2009 I subscribed to The Wild Orchid Journal. It's a Japanese native orchid magazine written completely in Japanese and shipped directly to me from Japan. They have photos and growing culture for everything from Neofinetia to Ebine. There's even some minitature shima striped bulbos in there. They give the Kanji names plus the Japanese name written in Hiragana & Katakana. So if you have some kind of Hiragana dictionary, you can sound out the name. I can post some photos of the magazine contents later. Each issue has a main focus on a specific species but every issue has at least some neo material in it.
