The first of my N. falcata to bloom this year. Less pink on the flowers than last year ... I think it needs more light.
Cheers,
Tim

Beautiful flowers Tim. I love the red spurs on this variety. Nice mounding job too.

Cheers.

Very nice bloomings! Any fragrance?

I believe warm nights can affect color in Neo flowers. My Hisui will be a light green with warm nights and a darker green with cooler nights.

Nice plant and blooms. Where did you get that pot? I've never seen one like that before. Is it clay? Hard to tell from the photo...

Thanks for the comments. This is one of the more fragrant neos that I have, but not quite as much as my Shutennou. Tracy the pot is stoneware and one I made, hand built (rather than thrown) in my pottery evening class. It takes a little getting used to the amount of shrinkage of different clays. I'm doing a raku course in July and will make some more.

Very cool stoneware! Would love to see any raku pots you end up making later.

Also, do you grow in pure sphag as well? Can you give me a rundown of your culture?

I use 2 organic Japanese fertilizers so just wondering what everyone else is using...
