So I purchased a teeny little neo and it'll be on its way to me in the morning. It's a special little plant--a variegated bean leaf--and the variety just got registered with the fuukiran society last year, and these are just plain hard to find to begin with.
I'm so excited.
Ryokusaiho, aka Ryokuho no Shima. Mine's the one on the left.
I'll be sure to post a few more photos once I actually get the plant later this week
Congrats on your new variegated beanie! Best of luck with it. I lost a different variety in that same price range as yours, last year. It hurt. A LOT. For a VERY long time.

Aw--if you don't mind my asking, how did you lose it?

I moved into a new home in late 2010 so spent most of 2011 doing lots of home improvement stuff. This left me with very little time for my orchids. I no longer had the nicer growing conditions I had in my previous home. I did not water the neos for about a month sometimes. My Kinbotan was not a strong plant to begin with and needed more TLC than the others. I let it get too dry so the roots shriveled up and it croaked.
I just got my new little one a moment ago--it's so small! Even so, it seems to already have gotten some somewhat prominent striping unlike many of the others I've seen with very faint or feeble looking stripes around the edges. Pictures later tonight!
