Feeding Vanda '?' Male
Question Feeding Vanda '?'

Hello, I'm new to this forum and still learning to navigate, so please bear with me. My mother got me a Vanda when she went to Florida and I've had it for several months now and it looks healthy. I was hoping someone could tell me how to fertilize my Vanda since the roots aren't in soil. To water it, I fill up my sink with water twice a week and soak the roots for 30-40 minutes. It hasn't re-flowered since I got it and I think I may need to fertilize it. I have it in my sun room in an east facing window. So far, it looks like it enjoys being there with the exception of it not flowering. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Regards,
Bill

You could add a small amount of water soluble fertilizer to the water in the sink. Once a week or once every two weeks should be fine.

WELCOME AND HELLO !
Pictures of the plant will be nice.
If your vanda is a specie you are lucky if it blooms twice a year. The hybrids can bloom as many as they can maybe 4 times a year...
Vandas love to feed and drink a lot especially now that its warmer months and time to grow longer roots and develop leaves...I use Mexican seaweed mix (a capful to a gallon) once a week in warmer months and twice a month in winter...you can get it from Walmart garden supply, Home Depot or any orchid supply store near you
