I like to repot my Neos with the classic Japanese method .... I find the narration of Jason Fischer on youtube for orchidweb more accurate; he gives you two methods. I like to do the third method which is putting a smaller pot(a netpot or clay) inside the Neo pot and I lay the roots directly on the smaller pot then wrap the moss around the smaller pot inside. For added weight and stability of the plant.
Orchidweb also sell online the plastic Neo pots at a very reasonable price .... they also have the pricy fancy classic Japanese Neo pots for in case you wanted to showcase and make a presentable Neo for judging.

]Hey thanks for pointing out the new orchidweb neo video! I had no idea he finally put it together. I've been nagging Neo Jedi Master's butt for several years now. The only reason I did my remounding video was because he couldn't take the time to make one. When he showed me how to do this in the greenhouse the first time, he wanted me to learn the 2nd method right away so I could get faster at doing them, I guess. The bottle method works fine but without an object holding up the void, over time the void collapses anyway.
I'm so relieved his more "professional" looking video is up. Now I can finally take down my ghetto remounding video and there will still be a step by step video in ENGLISH on the internet..

Oops, sorry Adrienne. I already took them down. No worries, though. Here's a link to the orchidweb video so you can save it somewhere. Jason's video includes everything I do in mine, plus some. It is more complete with the 2 different methods and he explains things more clearly than I do. It's also better resolution and better volume for those who are hard of hearing. Not to mention he is five times faster than me. The only thing I want to add for the newbies trying to remound for the first time, is wet the moss a bit more before you get started. It makes it much easier. The moss Jason was using was pretty dry and it looks very easy when he does it. But for someone doing it the first time it may be harder to wrap the moss when it's dry, especially if one has smaller hands.

That's precisely why I like yours Tracy. Newbies can see what you're doing more easily.

Awwwww. I liked your videos Tracy. Since you remounded at a slower pace, it was easy to follow. especially for someone like me who tends to forget if I don't do it regularly.
Any chance we can convince you to put them back up?
Cheers.
Jim
