Until very recently its the only neo I had! So yes, same plant and thanks for the compliments! I don't know how many fans it has now but its over 38... That's when my 3 year old who is exploring numbers, began counting at random with me. Lol. And it killed my ability to count. It lived outside all summer long and survived a massive hail storm because it lived under a slatted grow table. The hail hit it a bit but not directly nor at full force so it suffered no damaged and probably even enjoyed the cold. Since summer ended its grown under lights in my basement.

Adrienne, if a neo isn't growing for me, I start pulling one leaf out at a time in front of the others. Works every time. the trick is to pull them out very slowly and don't break eye contact with the other neos. Ok that's a little dark.

These guys are in sh...so I just water, rinse and repeat. I do make sure they go through a cold night, warm day period, which is easily had with our summers.

This one is tamakongou:

I'm having a hard time shaping the moss mound. The moss strands aren't long enough.

Minmaru in spike:

I potted this one well enough and noticed in other minmaru setups that the roots are exposed at the top which makes good sense in both displaying the plant and allowing it good air.

Minmaru-shima:

I have another minmaru-shima but it is not in the best shape. The vendor sent me the one you see above as a replacement. I think the damaged one is dehydrated and also got a bit too cold in shipping. The Japanese orchid owner was so gracious in sending me the replacement but I think I can make the original one work. I offered to pay her for the second one so we shall see. She was so quick to fix the issue so I can't recommend her enough!

Lol yes, yes I have. As for the mounds, they have a net pot under them that the plants arrived in so they have a hollow center. And the pots have large holes in the bottom.

Ryan, you did a great job mounding them. Need lessons from you.

For longer moss to do your final wrapping, I suggest Orchids Limited or Kelley's Korner.
