I just repotted this Neo last week, into new clean hydroton and a clean S/H pot (the same size). A lot of roots were dead in the old pellets, but still plenty of aerial root, and some in the pellet were very healthy. Plenty of new root tips growing now, and new leaves are taking off too!

I read that they do very well also in bark mix, but depending on your growing conditions you may need to water more often than with the moss.

I personally HATE moss. I find they rot the roots and in many cases after I buy one, the roots look pretty sorry. Once I pop them into s/h they are super happy, especially my lou sneary. They have been thriving and spiking for nearly three years now!! I love, love s/h (though it doesn't look as pretty) because I can watch the roots very closely.

Pelepel, just curious cuz I'm a native but what city or area are you near in central CA ? Carmel, Big Sur, Mendecino ? South San Fran, San Mateo, or San Jose might even be considered central coast.

San Luis Obispo! Love the area. Great rock hounding here too. Big Sur Jade and Cayucos/San Simeon jaspers, cherts perfect for knapping; pretty unusual material.

I'm used to see the deer, tule elk, elephant seals, sea lions, otters, various bird species but the sight of the zebras casually grazing with the cows always makes me laugh.
