Darwinara Charm 'Blue Star' HCC/AD/AOS
I WISH it was as blue as the pix !!! It's actually purple !
(Neofinetia falcata X Vascostylis Tham Yuen Hae,1987) You can see that the Neo donated the shape ! Another Fishing Creek adoption while in bloom !
The last 2 pix I played with and I think the very last one is the closest.

Holy hell that's beautiful! I love it. Blue or purple it's a keeper.
Thank for sharing.

Thanks everyone ! I love it for 3 reasons, the color, the mini Vanda growing style, and the Neofinetia shape !

Very nice Chryss. Even though it's purple, it's still a keeper. Congratulations.
Cheers.

Darwinara Charm 'Blue Star' HCC/AOS
Forgot to add the cultivar name and award ! Was the vendor's barely legible penciling that slipped by me ! He also had 2 awards listed but I can't make out the 2nd, it was close to AD ??? I'm not aware of that one, any help from O-Wiz ?? He listed it as HCC/AD/AOS. The "AD" part was nearly illegible !!!

OrchidWiz does show that cultivar was awarded an AD/AOS in Oct. 1992 in Clearwater Florida. Same year the HCC was awarded in California. The AD doesn't show a points number but the HCC was 75 points.
Just found this on the AOS site:
AD (Award of Distinction)
Awarded once to a cross representing a worthy new direction in Breeding. The award is granted unanimously without scoring by the judging team assigned.
And OrchidWiz says this about that award:
A positive direction for strong blue color breeding in small size flowers.
