Jim, I am glad you tried successfully one neo in S/H. Maybe I am just lucky, but I think this way of growing is great for neofinetia because it loves so much air at the roots, and the pellets provide a lot of air circulation along with the moisture.
Wintering has been quite easy until now

, I just drain the pot completely and just spray the plant on warm days but no watering the pellets for 3 months.
Camille, you should try one again, the great thing about S/H is that you can go away for weeks without the worry of having someone to come water it ! Litterally I leave it 4 to 5 weeks sometimes, with no watering and it still grows very well. I am sure you can find a nice little one from Greeny pottery store
