yes...1/2 on the medium and small sized glass vases and I used the 1 inch on the very large ones(such as the one in the pic above) I get my diamond coated drill from Home Depot...1/2 drill for $8 and the 1 inch for $12

This is how it looked 3 weeks ago while it was still hanging out on the fire escape. I had to bring it indoors and put in a vase to cool it down and have the blooms stay longer...this is the mother plant; it already produced 3 babies almost as big as her now all have flowered...I feel this mother will produce a basal keiki soon as the blooms are over

What a long roots. How did you get all those roots in the vase then. I guess you had to bent them a lot.

no, I didnt bend them...I curled it like you curl your hair and coil it down inside the vase
