Neo site
For some obscure reason I have never come across this site before despite having rummaged around the net for weeks. Can anyone give me the low-down on this site as I'd love to import some? any help would be appreciated. I'm sure they are a reputable company but I know nothing of them.

He sells on Ebay and has excellent plants. You just have to watch for his listings. I believe he's under "Japanese Orchids" there also but if you do a search on Neos you'll find him.
Here's one of his listings: Neofinetia falcata(japaneseorchid)-HIME

Brilliant, thank you, Ron. I'd like to import some of them into the UK so any information would be wonderful.

Nice little Neos. good website that lists on ebay a few at a time. The website prices are a bit pricey.
Cheers,
Tony

Should have mentioned a few other points he has going for him:
(1) the plants come potted (properly) and not bare root.
(2) he ships quickly and the plants are always well packed.
(3) he's one of the few sellers on Ebay I have gotten plants from.

Importing is usually quite an expensive, time consuming and headache filled process. Generally you need an import permit, phytosanitary certificate and very probably CITES documents. Have a look at the website of the UK department of agriculture or whatever the equivalent is, you should be able to dig up the rules somewhere.
Not all growers are willing to export though, I know that many of the EU growers I buy from just don't want to deal with it, and ship to EU only.

Found some info for you here: Import Regime for Plant Health Controlled Material. Have a look at the subsections as well. Not sure how useful all of this is for you.
IMO, I think that you're better off waiting for NWO's next trip to Europe....

If you do end up finding out how to import, I have a feeling you are going to go broke because of him!

I just got a neo in the mail today from these guys. Nicely potted, very well packed. It came in bloom and the blooms traveled really well. I will be ordering from him again. I got an onamiseikai. Great roots, 3 blooms, 2 growths.

good seller, good plants - can get good deals sometimes on the ebay auctions (my recent Neo purchase was from this seller on ebay, and have bought from her before on ebay and at Pacific Orchid Exposition in San Francisco)
I don't know about exporting tho ...
