Hi Tracy! I'd be interested in a division of your Akebono! Then I would sell my current one as I like yours much better!

Your Neo's are gorgeous and so happy looking! And it is nice to see you back on here, we miss you! Mine are still alive and kicking, but they look no where near as happy as yours!

Then you can split it in half.

Hi Bec! I missed you guys too. They seemed to grow a somewhat faster when I started putting them outside in the Summer. There's something about the air outside that they love. It's been a HOT one for us this Summer but as long as I keep them well watered, they're fine.

I'll let you guys know about the Akebono division next Spring.

Plants look amazing! I'm also interested in divisions.

My neos are all doing well, I need to re-mound a few - although I realize I missed the ideal time to do so this spring. Not as many spikes as I'd hoped - we've had a very mild winter and a cold, foggy summer here in SF. I think I'm going to push the winter rest this winter and hope for the best next spring.

Hi Tristan. Alrighty, I'll let you know next Spring, what I have available. All my plants (except for one) had less spikes and less blooms this season, also. I moved into a new house last Fall and they did not get as much light during the Winter as they did in previous years. Although the color of my leaves look much better than before due to the fact that they had less light. Oh well, guess ya can't have everything.

Wow!

Tracy, that's the nicest looking Akebono I've ever seen! That definitely looks like a candidate for the Neo competition.

And yes, please, please, please add me to the list for a division. I've been holding off adding one to my collection because nothing I've seen looks as good as yours.

Cheers.
Jim

No problem, Jim. I'll make sure to let you know next Spring. I'll most likely only have one division of Akebono, if any next season. So since more than one person is interested, we'll have to figure something out at that time.

I will be starting training on this one in hopes of entering it in the Fuukiran judging competition in CA, maybe 3 years from now. So I have to remove any out of place growths on it next Spring when I remound.

If any one is interested in buying a division, please post an "aye" here on this thread. I'll check this again next year and send you a PM on price and size.

I've had this one a little over a year and although it's fairly cooperative, it seems to like taking it's sweet time growing. It's only put out 2 new fans since I got it. They are on the other side of the plant and still small.
