Ryan, I bought mine from here.
Charley's Greenhouse & Garden Light Fixtures & Plant Display
It is L5471 LED countertop Kitchen Garden.
I wanted to get something bigger from orchidweb.com (it's the same price) but I had to make a deal with my partner not to take up too much space, so I got this small one instead.
It fits nicely on our kitchen countertop and I currently have been growing one big phal, two mini phals, one Paph. Maudiae and one den keiki for a few months and I will have to say I am super satisfied with the results. I find orchids grow faster and healthier under this LED set up and all the phals are spiking. I will soon have to take the phals out as the flower spikes get too tall. I can adjust the height of the LED lamp, but then it reduces the amount of light plants recieve, so I will take the phals out and fit my Neo and other smaller guy under the light.
Kinda off the topic, but I'm worried if phals will have less flower counts once I take them out of the set up as I cannot give them enough light at the moment. Window space is all occupied! lol
By the way, you could get something other than LED light set up, but in the long run, LED is much more cost efficient I think. The bulbs will last for nearly 10 years and the electricity bill friendly.
and it does not emit heat.
Plus, mine has automatic timer built in to it, so it is programmed to turn on at 6 am and turn off at 10 pm everyday. Even better, 15 minutes before 6 and after 10, the light gradually deems, so it doesn't "shock" the plants. lol I'm not sure if that really matters to the plants though.
I have some mini orchids (Twinkle, den, phal, paph, tolumnia) under halogen lamp all day in the last few months, and that lamp turn on and off abruptly, not gradually switching on and off like my LED lamp does.
The plants grow and flower just fine though.
