Default Ascofinetia Cherry Blossom

This is a reliable bloomer, which I love. Every year the plant gets more flowers. Crossed it with falcata Benisuzume: should be an interesting form of "Ascofinetia Kaori" if it sets fertile seeds

Awesome colour Lars. I'm curious why you chose to cross it with Benisuzume? It would be interesting to see how a Shutennou or Komachemusume cross would look.

Cheers.

Cherry Blossom x falcata turns out like this. This seems to imply that the falcata influence dominates the colour: so my thinking was that Benisuzume would retain some pink. Don't have any other pink ones except for Jujak in flower (which is similar to Shutennou). Anyway, this may not lead to anything, or the plant may end up rather nice. That Cherry Blossom has such a nice colour - it would be a pity to loose it - and Kaori has an incredible flower shape.

In any case, when my Neofinetia falcata Manjusha flowers (it has 3 spurs) I will have a little experiment if I have another Vandacaeous plant in flower, just to see what comes out.
