Neo. falcata 'Akebono'
This is the first time I have ever bloomed a Neo all on my own and it has taken a couple of years! There is one more spike on the way on this one. The flowers are a little past their prime and the pictures didn't turn out that great since I was using hubby's point-n-shoot camera since it takes better macro pictures then my camera.

What a beauty! Would you mind sharing any culture tips? I recently bought one, and it's still in great health (yay!). I'm really hoping to make it bloom on its next bloom cycle.

The second picture looks like they have a pink tinge, but they don't....I think it is just the lighting.

Sweeet! Congrats on producing some blooms, it can be quite frustrating at times.
Very nice plant too by the way. I love Akebono, I need to break down and get one some time.
Cheers.

Sorry I took so long to respond! Things just seem to get so busy!
Cultural tips....well I'm still trying to get the hang of things. I am growing them under T5 lights, I haven't measured the fc, but the light is pretty bright...around cattleya light strength or a little under. I tried to give them a cooler winter rest, but I didn't want to take my temps much lower then 58 or 59 degrees because of the phals. My temps are really pretty warm now...in the upper 70's right now in the orchid room, winter day time highs were in the low 70's for me. Hope this might help you some, like I said I'm still trying to get the hang of things!
