My Neos re-mounded
Just repotted my 6 Neos today. Since I kept them much cooler area during the winter, they seem to be doing much better.
From the left;
1. Setsuzan
2. Shyunkyuden
3. Kishusekko
4. Shuten'nou
5. Tamakongou
6. Neofinetia falcata magenta ‘Joo Chon Wang’ x self (Botanica, Ltd.)
By the way, I bought 5A sphag moss from Cal West Tropicals. They are awesome. Those long fibers made the moss mound so much easier to make.

Watch out R J. I hear she charges a growth for the service!
Cheers.

Very nice Naoki.
I noticed the plants I gave a cold treatment to in my garage are doing much better this year too. Roots galore, and I might even get some flowers this year. Woo hoo!!
Cheers.

They look happy, Naoki-san. Great job remounding. I had to bring 18 of mine in to OL a few weeks ago to be remounded so now I am broke. Again. I can not work with the moss for long periods of time anymore because I've found I'm allergic to something in it. It makes me cough up a lung and have trouble breathing. I still have to bring in 2 more hanger fulls to OL for remounding and I'll be set for Spring. I may play with the moss one last time to make another youtube remounding video, though, if people are interested. This time I want to make it more professional looking and less ghetto. I think I'll show a couple different methods for remounding using beer bottles and hair curlers. Might be easier for the new neo fans.

Oh, no. That's not good. I am sorry to hear that. Can your allergic issue be solved or eased with the over-the-counter allergy medicene such as zyrtec?
You can always send them to me.

Tracy
Sorry to hear about your reaction to the moss. Have you tried a surgical mask and latex gloves? I've found in the last year or so I get that way when I'm mowing the lawn in the height of summer. The dry grass and dust gets to me. So now in August, I wear a surgical mask when I mow. It helps a lot.
On the flip side though, Jason-san does a great job remounding Neos.
Naoki, You're just too eager!
Cheers.
