I have no idea what kinds are there (it is all Japanese to me). They are labeled though. Alex is the one who knows about the neos.

Most if not all of them are potted in sphagnum moss (very high quality expensive moss). Loose moss, some resembling the 'moss mound' style preferred in Japan (the plant above the pot) in fancy pots, some with the plants 'normally potted' in moss in cheap 2 or 3" square plastic pots.

DaemonD - Michigan is one of the northernmost states in the USA. Plenty of colder places in the states, but we routinely see -20F in the winter and winter lasts from November through March. Double poly is pretty much required, I don't think I could buy a heater big enough to work with just a single layer! *grin*

Marco, I think Gin meant to say

"Put the lotion in the basket."

Tindo - i like phals and paphs too but they get too big for me. don't have that much space. at least with neos you can have a high plant to square inch ratio

Ah, now that I recall pics of your grow area, all this makes more sense. Well, post pics once they all come into bloom at the same time

Marco .. time to step into the cattleya zone and try a c. luteola .. littlefrog has them for $15 and they are a space saver. ( I have been eyeing it myself after seeing Jane's and Sue's (and Gin? did you have one, too?) photos)
