Kip, I let mine get pretty cold over the winter. I'd leave it outside on some nights that got down to upper 30's. I didn't let them get freezing but very cold. In Japan where they originate, they get cold temps. I'll post some bloom pics tomorrow. Unfortunately there are only two spikes left.

Congrats, that's a great new find. There are a few orchids that look almost as good when they're out of bloom than when they're in bloom and this is one. It'll only get better with time.

I leave mine outside all winter, too. They get down to the upper 20s without any damage, but the only ones that bloom consistently are Nishidemiyako (3 growths, currently has one spike) and Shunkyuden (4 growths, 2 spikes). They should bloom next month.
