New member!
Hi everyone! I've been lurking on here a while and finally plucked up the courage to join! I only found this forum by accident about 2 months ago and i didn't realise how many other Neo-nuts there were out there!
My name is Gareth, I live in south London, UK. I've been growing Neofinetia for about 12 years, the majority of my collection is cultivars of this species (in numbers, not space!) I had about 75 varieties at last count, and a few crosses of my own to add to the list, as soon as I have figured out how to post pics on here I will do so!
I recognise a few names on here, Lars Kurth from another forum I am a member of, and somewhere on here i have seen the name Shannan used? If it's the same lady I'm thinking of, I met her at the London Orchid show a few years back but I must apolagise to her, as I am very bad at keeping in touch!
Anyway, I look forward to trawling through the posts on here for many nights to come, and reading the new ones that pop up!
So a huge hello from chilly south London!
Gareth

Welcome to OB, Gareth! I hope, with your many years of experience growing these plants, that you can share info and growing tips with those of us who have only been growing these for a few years.
Looking forward to seeing photos of your collection.

Hi Gareth! Welcome to the OB! Yep there are several of us Neo-nuts here! I am one of them, but I just started a couple of years ago with the Neo's and I am just happy to have kept them alive this year. Next year I'll work on the blooms...lol.

Welcome aboard Gareth. We Neoholics are few, but we are a happy few...a band of brothers...
Looking forward to pics and some sage advice from your years of experience.
Cheers.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone! I spent a little time looking at some older posts last night! you all have such great plants, and even some i have never seen before!
My collection suffered a little bit last in '09 due to lack of time to care for them, I didn't lose any (I don't think?) but a few look a little worse for ware. This year however they all seem to be getting back on track and are looking better!
I'm hoping I have managed to attach some pics of a part of my collection, I'm not used to this set up but I will keep my fingers crossed!
