Default Mini or ultra-mini bean-leaf

Hi all;

I'm looking for a mini bean-leaf or an ultra-mini bean-leaf like Fukuzutsumi, Tama Warabe, Kuru Shinju, or Ryoku Hou No Shima. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated.

Anyone know any sources? I know Glenn-san at New World has Kuro Shinju. Seed-Engei didn't have and bean-leaf.

Also, as I recall Tracy and Anders you both have Kuro Shinju. Where did you get yours and how has it been doing?

Thanks.

Cheers.
Jim

Jim, I got my Kuro Shinjyu from Orchids Limited 3 Summers ago. It's grown pretty well and is one of my most "well behaved" ones. It was a small plant when I first got it and has put out many new growths. It's also bloomed last year and this year.

If you are looking into Ryukuhou-no-shima, I'm assuming you want to spend $1000 on a neo???

If so, there is another one called Magatama. It is a very small bean leaf with ruby roots and the top leaf sometimes has white tiger variegation. It's really cute.

Yikes! We're not quite there yet. It wasn't until after we paid off the mortgage that I could buy a $100 plant without getting weak knees and sweaty palms.

The Magatama sounds cool. I'll have to ask around. Maybe Glenn can look for it next spring.

Cheers.

Hi Jim!

I got my Kuro Shinjyu from Glen at NWO about a 1½ year ago. A two growths plant. Its growing and looks to be healthy, no flowers on it yet, Tracy is better at flowering these than me.

Tracy, do you have a picture of Magatama? It sounds very interesting.

Anders, she's just a baby When she grows up a bit, she'll bloom for you!

Here's a photo of Magatama. The leaf span is only about 1 inch. I'm not sure how big this one is suppose to get.

Ramon;

Thanks. I don't know why, it didn't even occur to me at the time to check Jason's site. I guess I just had a senior moment there.

So when did you move to France?

Cheers.
