I recently found a European nursery which sells unusual Fukurans and unfortunately now I have the Neofinetia bug big time. My wallet is many £££s lighter and I have some new treasures

  • Jujak
  • Manjusahwa
  • Ogonmaru
Dangerous!

Congratulations on the plants. They are addicting.

The same thing happened to me. Never heard of the things before I came to OB. Then I made the mistake of searching for fragrant orchids. Now every time I go to a nursery or orchid shop, first thing I do is scout for Neos.

Reminds me of the signature a friend of mine in my aquarium club has on his posts; "I don't have hobbies, I have obsessions."

Cheers.
Jim

ZOMG which european Nursery. Do they have a webpage? Please let us know!!!

The first time I had access to buying Neos freely i got 24 and it was amazing and they are all thriving not a down at all! And the blooms are exquisite and the fragance is like...desire mixed with some innocence.

They sell on eBay: not sure whether they are a nursery, or a hobbyists who has a larger number of divisions. See Greeny Pottery items - Get great deals on Orchid Neofinetia falcata, Handmade N.falcata Pots items on eBay.co.uk Shops!

I have been following this seller's offers for a while, and he has very nice plants for good prices (compared to the north American prices for the same forms of Neofinetia). One thing weird is the names he is using are usually different from the names used by the major Neo sellers, but you can find the equivalence with the kanji writing which is the good one apparently...
As an example, the plant he is calling Chwihwajeon is the same kanji as Suikuden (翠華殿), Jucheonwang is Syutennu (朱天王), Okgeumgang is Tamakongu (玉金剛)and many others like that.
Anyhow, I know people who bought plants from him and they are fully satisfied with the quality of plants.
