Default What is wrong with my Neostylis Lou Sneary?

Help! There are quite a few black spots on my Neostylis, and the new spike is also turning brown. What is wrong with it? I sprayed neem oil on it. What else should I do?

I have no clue on this spp other than the following observations:

There is a flower spike emerging (I think) and you might want to preserve this.

The brown spots look like some form of rot so it would consider cutting these out with a sterile blade (sterilized with heat) and then then treat by sprinkling on powdered cinnemon. For now the object is to keep plant alive, then later you want to improve its growing conditions and eventually arrive with a nice-looking plant that blooms faithfully for you.

The more I look at this photo, there is only evidence of rot on one leaf. If this were mine, I would cut off this leaf (with sterile blade) and let the spike emerge and see what happens. It should grow a new leaf.

Thanks Ross for the advice!
Sorry the picture didn't turn out really good. Actually several leaves are involved. The smallest top leaf is the most affected one. Should I cut this particular leaf off and cut off the spots only on the larger leaves.
Is black rot fungal or viral? What cause this?

By the way the spike is turning brown and dying, I think.

I think the spike is not going to survive because it is yellowing. I agree it is some sort of rot and you can cut off and dead parts.
Good Luck, it's a beautiful hybrid

I agree that it looks like rot and you need to cut off those rotted areas. Also, you should isolate this plant from other orchids. No one knows how contagious it is.
