Default My newest Neos.

I recently picked up a few new neos and wanted to show them to y'all.

Suruga Fukurin, very nice variegation.

Hisui; probably a seedling, got it for rather cheap. Hope it turns out true to form.

My Neostylis Lou Sneary "Bluebird", very purple, and even has a gentle fragrance. Flowering right now.

An updated photo of my first Neo. It seems to be growing fairly well.

Interested to hear what you think.

Great choices! I especially love the Suruga Fukurin and its variegation...I'm a sucker when it comes to the variegated neo's like that one. I could just stare at them all day long!

John, there was an orchid show at the conservatory near my house and OL had a booth there. I bought them directly from Jason, but didn't make it down the the actual store, that's the adventure for tomorrow... I might have to leave my cards at home so I'm not tempted to max them out, hehe.

WhiteRabbit, I love neos, and I'm not sure if it's mutual yet.... I've managed to keep them alive and my Kinginrasha is definitely growing, so maybe I'm doing something right! I guess I wont know for sure for another year.

Becca, I love variegation on ANY plant, but for some reason the variegation on my Suruga Fukurin is especially lovely. It might have to do with the size of the plant itself; small plant+variegation=Me cooing like a 12 year old girl that just got a kitten.

Brian,
Nice photos! I'm a fellow neo-nut in St. Paul and also have to be very careful out at Orchids Ltd. I know Jason didn't bring many neos to the Show because of the limited audience they currently enjoy. We need to change the perspective of people who think our beloved neos look like pineapples.

I love some of the neo crosses too.

Cathie,

I thought the pickings were a bit slim at the show, but I'm not complaining. If he had brought more I might have walked out with more than just the two I picked out! I'm about to brave the drive down to Orchids Ltd. tomorrow morning, and will definitely have to restrain myself, because I want them ALL!! I really just need some bark mix for my paphs. Oh well. I'll just have to gradually increase my collection... Get another shelf and some more lights... Maybe get rid of all the other furniture in my room... Who needs a bed, right?

I see that you are a member of the OSM; I'm planning on joining up, and I'm excited for the talk at the upcoming meeting, so hopefully I'll see you there!

I can't believe you were so restrained and did not buy anything today! Next time you need to lose Becca.

Thanks for hauling the big bag of sand back for me. I guess Jedi Master never skimps on anything.

Nice choices. I only have about a dozen or so and would like to add more but will be moving soon. This time more room and perhaps a better set up. Thanks for the pics.
