What do people do with really long roots when potting their neos?

I have seen some pics where the roots are dangling really far below the plant but the large specimine plants that are mounted in moss dont ever seem to have this, what do they do with the roots? maybe wrap them round the moss?

Just wanted to ask as i have a new neo that i need to repot and the roots are very long.
