I was recently very priviliged to receive two more Neo's as a gift from a friend of mine. One of them being Neofinetia richardsiana and the other one being Neofinetia falcata 'Cyoseiden' There does not seem to be much info on Neo falcata 'Cyoseiden' Have any of the other members possibly come across this variety?
Hi Craig I don't remember Choseiden being any more finicky than other neos so probably grow it the same way you grow your other ones? Long leaves with darker green centers and lighter green margins right? No white on this one so I would think, no worries with burning from bright light.
Ooh, richardsiana is very cool. Do you have a pic of yours?
Thanks for the additional info! Yes Tracy, it is just as you have described it!! I have planted them on the raised hollow mounds of sphagnum, My Neo's definately prefer that here in the drier climate where I am currently. I will take a pic over the weekend of the Neo richardsiana. Very happy with these new additions to my Neo family as they are very difficult and virtually unobtainable here in South Africa.
