Default Neofinetia falcata

This is the one with the spur with a lavender tint and the yellow-green tip. The sepals also have lavender tips.

Thanks I love the spur too!

I've always found them to be good to have around. That way I'm not left with a bunch of plants that are difficult to bloom and end up with just a bunch of foliage (foliage can be nice too, just gets boring when you know they bloom; and also you get them for the flowers most of the times anyways).

I got a bit of the sniffles today, and I keep trying to smell it for a fragrance and seem to smell a faint one on it (like honey). Is it me imagining things or is it the flower?

Can't wait for the others to bloom.

And...I just pollinated it too.

Just measured the spur.

It's approximately 4 cm tall without taking into account the curvature.

Measuring the spur while taking into account the curvature, it's closer to 8 cm long.

That sounds fun.

Maybe there should be a contest to measure Neofinetia falcata spurs. Brings a new dimension to growing a Neofinetia.
