Temps too cold for buds on Neo?

I'm fairly new to Neos and I have a Benisuzume that is about to bloom for the first time. I'm a little paranoid about the possibility of the buds blasting...It's supposed to go down to the mid 50's tomorrow night, but it was only 72 today. NWO says a ten to fifteen degree drop at night, so it should be all right-- but like I said, I'm a little paranoid...Should I bring her inside? Those temps wouldn't bother me if there were no buds... Any opinions??

Living in the Los Angeles County area, the summers don't usually dip down that low. So I can only suggest what I feel will ease your troubles without actually knowing anything for certain.

If you feel that it may cause bud blast on your Neofinetia, then I'd say bring it inside until you feel comfortable putting it back outside again.

Don't worry, temp will be ok.
I have hundreds of plants outside now with thousands of blooms.

what's your humidity? & growing conditions, have you any photos of when it first started spiking? & now?
I have a Neo.Falcata & believie it might just have a spike? it's too small to photgraph with my camera ...I'd be very interested to see some pictures of yours , especially some close up picks If you have any? thanks!

Thanks for all your replies--I had just about decided that 56 degrees in July is a lot different than 56 degrees in November. So, I'm gonna chance it and leave them outside.
The buds are still pretty tightly closed, so I think/hope they will be o.k.

My camera is doing the same thing as yours,Nenella. I can't get good focus on something that small and surrounded by spiky leaves--The spike with its buds is only about an inch and a half long and by the time I get home from work the light is not good. I was lucky because the orchid is a Benisuzume, so the spike was deep red and stood out from the leaves. On the white Neo, the only thing I can say is that the spike seems to originate from the base of the fan of leaves. (Am I right, you more experienced growers?) Here's hoping you do have a spike coming--this is the right time of year!!

I'll try for a picture this weekend when I can get better light--and then I can always try to use my husbands SLR digital!!
