Hi all;
The plant is almost uniformly yellow and I've lost some of the newest leaves. They only got about 1/16 inch long and then shriveled and dried up.
I've removed the plant from the pot and discovered that the hole in the center is almost completely closed in. The moss ball for the most part is crispy dry but there is still a bit of moisture in the center.
Thanks.
Cheers.
Jim

The are certainly beautiful Jim. Would you consider the potting media AAA, AAAA, or AAAAA sphagnum and do you know who sells 5A?

Jim, that looks like beginnings of loss due to root rot. As recommended above, check the roots in the center of the moss.

Jerry;
I'm not sure what grade the moss is. Dr. Lehr at New World Orchids was kind enough to pot them up fresh for me when he shipped them. I'm not sure if he has moss for sale or not. I think I remember someone posting that Orchids Limited sells moss for Neos.
Cheers.

Thanks Ross.
Unfortunately I wasn't able take it apart yesterday. Hopefully I can get home early enough tonight to tackle it.
I've also e-mailed Dr. Lehr in hopes he can help diagnose it.
Cheers.

I got my 5A moss from OL recently. Very high quality! It is amazing how easily you can make moss mounds. Practice helped me, thou. ![Big Grin](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/new/biggrin2.gif)

Jim, I wish I could help you. As Ross said, you might want to check the roots.

Ross;
You were spot on. ![Bowing](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/bow2.gif) When I unpotted it all but three of the roots were black and mouldy. The three remaining are just little nubbins. The central stem is still firm so I hope it isn't too far gone.
It's now in fir bark with just a wee bit of moss; maybe about a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio.
Thanks again!
Cheers.

I don'tuse any moss. The leaves are able to store enough water to get by between waterings. I like to water, so by dropping the moss, I am able to water more often and still get the roots to dry off overnight. Just my two cents. They like pretty bright light as well.
By the way, I have one mounted hanging in my tank and it gets saturated daily but dries out overnight.
