Let's see....

Page 227 - "Musashi" It was found in Wakayama. It has a plain, "mameba" (bean leaf) type leaf.

This plant has three leaf features:
1. "Wave" such as "Seikai"
2. "Hiba" such as "Benkeimaru" (page 148)
3. "Konpe" such as "Ushiwakamaru" (page 118)

Subjectively speaking, it belongs to an "odd" group instead of a "pretty" or a "cute" group. This is pretty much a personal preference: like it or not like it. It is very popular in Japan and very limited. It would probably take for a while to be widely available to us.

Page 94 "Naniwajishi Shiro Nakafu"

This is the rare form of "Naniwajishi" with some white spots. When these spots go down to lower leaves, it becomes "Okinajishi" ( unregistered page 178). When those spots are spread around, it is called "Chiyodajishi" (page 32).

Does it make sense? I did not know there are soooooooooooooooooooo many variations.

Yes! Makes perfect sense! Thankyou so much for taking the time to translate this for me

I LOVE the weird, kind of ugly, orchids. Are you healthy enough to drink? You deserve some alcohol.

You are very welcome, Tracy.

I happened to visit a vinyard with a branch manager of the bank for a new business prospecting. I brought myself a bottle of sparkling wine.

Have you shown those pictures to Jason Fisher at OL?

You gave away 5 of them. I did not get any of them. Just kidding....

I showed him last year. He goes back to Japan every Spring to bring back new Neos, Sedireas, etc. for OL but said he's never seen Musashi at any of the nurseries he's been to. Their new shipment from Japan just arrived so I'm going in tomorrow to check out the new stuff.

Cool stand. I'll have to look into this.

I was showing Marlene some variegated forms I was interested in and she fell in love with the rattan stand at this site...
http://orchidee.clic.free.fr/etude_d...neofinetia.htm She pictures it in front of our slider to the deck.

Cheers.
Jim

Not fair....

Let us know what you get. ( I know you will not just "visit". ) We all cannot leave an orchid nursery without one (mostly more) orchids.
