I have to learn to hold the camera steady Are my Neo flowers smaller than most?
I thought they would be a bit larger.

Nice I'm looking to expand my Neo collection. I find these little flower very difficult to photograph. My camera has Image Stabilization and they still come out blurry.

I don't think it's really blurry, just out of focus. When I try to take macro shots of really small things, my camera tends to focus on something behind it, it's really annoying! So now in macro mode I adjust the focus manually, and it works out pretty well. For blurry problems a tripod or setting the camera down on a stable surface usually fixes it.

Nice Higashidemiyako is a species neo and all the species ones are approximately that size; very small and dainty. Shunkyuden has bigger flowers but it is an irregular flower shape variety with extra floral parts. If you've seen neos with MUCH bigger flowers, those are probably the hybrids crossed with some kind of vanda. The Darwinaras, Neostylis, Nakamotoara, etc are all hybrids.

The flowers sure are nice, focus or non-focus.
It looks like an old spike that has bloomed to me, since its kind of brown-colored, but I´m not sure.
But is that a Tamakongo?! I didnt know they have a ocean-wave tsuke, which by the way looks great!

A G that's what it said on the tag. I am still a novice at raising Neo's. Its not an old spike as I have watched it emerge from the plant in the last few days. Will post more photo's when its grown a bit more.

Nice growing Sheridan. She is a cutie pie. I noticed just today that I have a spike on my first one also. Not the same variety tho.

Sheridan, those flowers are so nice. As for your Tamakongo, it looks like it is a spike to me. My "tamakongo" has just bloomed. They are so tiny.
