Neo Kishusekko
The 1st picture is the neo I won through eBay. Then there was a bonus plant, which is much bigger. ( 2nd & 3rd pics ). Thank you, Kip ( lambelkip )
I think I am getting better at creating this moss mound.

Wow, Naoki
I think you said you've been growing orchids for many years, right? So what made you suddenly get so into these Neos?

Tracy, It is all Dr. Lehr's fault. Just kidding.
I have always facinated by the delicate "art" form of Neos, especially "moss mound." Until now, I did not think I could even make it. NOW I CAN !!! Also, there are so many varieties, which I learned from the presentation by Dr. Lehr last month at a local orchid society meeting.
After all, I am Japanese.

they look very nice potted up. I've never tried potting mine, I was afraid the sphagnum would keep them too wet. now I'm afraid keeping them bare root keeps them too dry. it's a learning process, hopefully we'll all find a way to keep the neos happy.

Gorgeous, Naoki! Kisyusekko is one of my favourites. Congrats on a very fine start to your Neo collection!

Thank you, shakkai. It has very interesting leaves. I like it.
I found they seem to get dry much faster than I expected.

Naoki, if the moss is getting dry all the way through quickly (and not just on the outside) then you have done the moss mound to perfection! Just think, the more water you can put through it, the more fertiliser - in small doses - you can give to the plant, and the better it will grow and bloom for you!
