Thanks for the info Tim. Do you grow yours indoors all year or do you take them out during the summer months?

I take all of my orchids outside until it gets around 45 degrees at night. And they really thrive with the rain but I do have to watch out for the leopard slugs (3-5 inches), they will eat everything!.

Hey Tim & all,
It was a great trip there for sure.
I Picked up a Neofinetia Amami Furan, my first Neo. I repotted it in a bonsai pot from the Bonsai House. I also picked up 3 Den. Moniliforme's which I prefer. (I guess I'm a Den. lover at heart! )
I can tell it is going to be at least a semi annual trip there from now on. (My poor wallet!!)
Dr. Glenn was most helpful and gracious, and knew each species/cross intimately. I recomment his plants to anyone looking for good Japanese stock.

to all that I haven't talked to in a year here on the board. It has been quite a busy year, but everyone seems to have made it through unscathed. It's good to touch base again.

You going to sell any Just joking, I have one request when you take pictures, would you mind taking a picture of your growing set up as well if it is not to much trouble? I love to see pictures of how other grow their 'chids!

Becca, I had planned on taking some of all the neo's I just repotted too so it will show my racks. I havelisted a few neo's on ebay recently and have a few more to sell (i posted on the forum classified page but only had one taker). Most of my moniliforme are not big enough yet to divide.

I grow them under lights in my basement. I treat them the same as my Neo's. Cool in the winter and water every 10 das or so. I would like to put all of them out this summer if I can find a spot in my yard. When I get pics of the racks I will post a new thread.
