That one is so WOW!!! I HAVE to track it down in Europe! I love orange flowers.

How do you survive without buying orchids? The longest I can hold out between purchases is max 5 weeks! (of course, I only get one (usually) at a time...) Just this morning one 'followed me home' again when I was a local garden center buying more fertilizer for my babies. Not my fault it jumped in the basket when my back was turned! Besides, orchids in the Netherlands cost as much as potato chips!

I have to say that I really admire your self control. I'm going to have to try to be more like you, because I really can't afford any more orchids this year!

Well, it comes down to is that I don't like spending money I don't have .. Owing money bothers me more than not purchasing orchids
Just tell yourself .. next year is around the corner .. and know you will reward yourself with something special then ..

Shoot, Dorothy. It's just a little debt Think about it this way: it's like a trilianth of the National Debt And you are contributing to the economy of all the orchid growers we so like to support

And there's more to life than just searching Google for OrchidBoard answers

Dorothy, you should be applauded!!

If more people (and businesses and governments!) thought like you, then the world economy wouldn't be in the mess that it is in!

Being in debt is not a good place to be in at any time, but especially now with the current financial climate.

Ross, you really like playing devil's advocate, don't you?!

Camille, I have not seen this one anywhere over here - but if you find it somewhere, let me know!!

Found it!!
OrchideeRare

Finding it is just a first step. I never heard of this grower (so possibly they are no good) and don't understand a word of Italian (all I understand is that there is a minimum order value of 50€...

This is too funny .. I thought men didn't like women spending money and here I have 2 guys encouraging me to do so .. (I guess it's ok if it's not their money)
Thanks Shannen for your kind words and insight
I have plenty of orchids to keep me busy right now and I do enjoy helping out members on the OB .. Just keep those photos coming so I can enjoy orchids from a distance for now

Good luck, Camille - I hope you get the little cutie

So does that make them cheap or expensive?

I bought one of these off ebay, it was supposed to be in spike, but because the spike wilted before it got here, the seller threw in a neofinetia too. It's been growing quite well, but no sign of a new spike. He had it as more yellow than orange though.
