NeofinetiaCanada2014, how do you have to grow them for the markings? I am new to Neofinetias and would love to know. Thanks!

This is my favorite goup of neo and I struggle to bring out the best colors on them.
I came here looking for some help, but I see that it has detailed information.

All I know is general info.
White tigers like the ones shown in the photos in the first page, Byakko and others, I believe is best for medium to low light otherwise burning can occur.
Yellow tigers need a lot of light (highest light requirement among neos), just short of burning in which case then the leaves may drop or develop too much anthocyanin on certain varieties.

Then, there are different times when proper lighting is crucial for correct or desired level of markings.

Also, some varieties develop markings when young and then disappear later in the year, others are the other way around. Some retain the color at all times as long as the light level is properly controlled.

I wish someone knowledgeable would post more detailed info for variety specific requirement.

Oh, last thing, I understand quite a few of these are from seeds, and each plant may show different amount of markings no matter how good the conditions, and some are nearly just plain green.
So I would always pick the best colored clones to start with.

Karanishiki is my favorite also. The strong contrast between dark green and light gold is really striking!
Thank you!
