Default Neo and Seridea (sp) pics

Here's a couple pics of my neos and seridea. The seridea already lost its flowers, but the neos are in full bloom. Their fragrance is intoxicating to say the least. I can smell them in the next room. Sorry about the quality of some of the pics, it's a new camera.

The green neo is hisui, and was a vibrant green when it first opened, but softened up as it aged. The purple neo is shutennou, which got darker in purple as it ages.

Enjoy!!!

They are so beautiful. I especially like the shutennou. I have one also, but it shows no hint of budding. Seeing yours make me anxious to have mine bloom. The others are pretty but I'm partial to the shutennou.

Thanks guys. I'm surprised they flowered this year because when I got them they were in poor shape.

Nice flowers. I wouldn't describe my Neos blossoms as strong as yours. I had to get my nose into the blossoms to even detect a scent. The Sedirea (correct spelling) didn't smell at all (to me).

Very nice blossoms! I have discovered that the Neos fragrance really varies. Some are wonderfully scented, others (even of the same variety) are difficult to even detect the scent. I also think that the scent varies with temperature.

Every Sedirea I have smelled was very sweetly fragrant, and on warm, still days the fragrance filled the room.

I really like the markings on your Sedirea flower, it has good colouring.

I agree. The hisui has a very strong fragrance, but the shutennou has a slight fragrance so far (not sure if it's because the flowers just opened or not). In my experience with neos, their fragrance usually comes on (or more prominent) in the evening hours, usually starting around 5 pm.

The sedirea, if i remember correctly, was sweet with a citrus tone to it, but it wasn't overpowering. When the sedirea was in bloom, it filled my entire office with its fragrance day and night.
