Default Vase grown Neofinetia?

I was perusing the gallery and ran into this:

Has anyone tried growing Neos in this fashion? In theory it should work like the Vandas since Neos like plently of air flow to the roots. My only concern would be the roots drying out too quickly without daily misting. Unless the roots are long enough to be touching the sphag at the bottom of the vase.....

Hey! That's my neo! I got home from the show and didn't know what to do with it. The roots were sticking out the bottom and I didn't want them to get broken. I remembered the posts about vandas in glass vases on OB so I looked for something the right size, then threw some wet moss in the bottom (the root do touch) and it worked! I really like it and may keep it that way. Cool huh?

It's definitely a novel idea for Neos. It meets all their needs. My only concern would be moisture but I guess that depends on your watering habit and RH. Cheers!
