Default Bud watch, Vanda Noid - bought as tricolor

I got this Vanda and was told it’s a tricolor. When I showed it to NOV members someone told me it isn’t. By then there were no buds or flowers.

Currently this Vanda has several beautiful buds and she might reveal her name soon.

The buds started purple but quickly got these colors. I’m excited!

Just looking at those buds, very well could be tricolor. You'll soon know!

I’ve never seen a tricolor IRL before, I have no idea. When de buds started out purple I thought I bought myself a Blue Magic or something like it, especially because I was told before it wasn’t a tricolor.
But quickly the color of the buds started to change.
Maybe it’s a tricolor, maybe a hybrid. But definitely it’s not a Blue Magic.

I’ll show you a picture once the first bud fully opens.

I’m surprised it does so well currently. It took quite some abuse. I forced it in a wooden basket, broke a lot of roots during that process, and being shipped.

Watered it with Kelpak several times, overnight.

Besides the spike it’s growing new leaves and a “ton” of new roots.

What a trooper!

Yes I do think it's tricolor (suavis)

Picture made end of the day. She reveals more and more about herself.

Edit: I see a slight yellowish background, isn't that just tricolor, not suavis? I'm always confused.

Yes! That is a beautiful plant, too!

It also may be fragrant, especially when the sun warms it up.

I do notice a smell but can’t tell what it smells like.

I found this beauty on Marktplaats, an online selling and buying platform. She was only $32.50. I couldn’t pass that on. I easily could have been tricked but the seller apparently was honest.

If something seems to be too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. But not in this case.

Dang, that's an amazing price considering how big the plant is. A V. tricolor var. suavis that size here might go for twice that price or more!
