Maybe it's because I don't go to the Korean side of the internet and can't even read Korean anyway if I did, but I was wondering about registered Korean varieties of Neofinetia falcata.
Looking around, I found this list from Reddit user SincerelySpicy on r/neofinetia:
Registered Fukiran Varieties - Google Sheets
There is two sheets, one for Japanese and one for Korean varieties.
Here's a few I've seen around for sale around the internet so far (there are no links to the vendor shops, just to pictures):
Myeong-ok 명옥 - registered
Hwang-ok 황옥 - registered, has yellow upturned flower
Yuri 유리
Gwanak 관악 - registered
Jinmuk 진묵 - registered
Chungwang 春光 - registered
Cheoneun 天恩 - registered
Myeonggwanggae 명광개
If anyone knows Korean, here's an entire database of
registered varieties as well:
https://pungnan.or.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=sinpungnan
There's quite a few interesting varieties shown on the site, such as this one
매왕환
That's bean leaf with a nice deep magenta flower, and then this one
녹의 보석③
That has an awesome
torafu variegation.
I also found this post from the same reddit user as above that goes over Japanese and Korean names for Neos:
https://web.archive.org/web/20231211...ean_neo_names/
Hopefully this is all helpful info for anyone looking for it.
EDIT:
I also found scrounging around the forums here a South Korean vendor that will sell to the US:
https://barampung2.cafe24.com/shop2
Keep in mind...for Neos you're probably paying at starting fee of $125. The shipping cost is stated
here. You're also waiting upwards of 3 weeks for your plants to get shipped to you.
They have some varieties that I haven't seen sold much in the US, though, as well as some Choseiran.
