Finally got around to this piece of show n tell. So here's a picture of the Neo Shutennou I was talking about purchasing earlier that got toasted. I can't find the "next day" picture that shows it's shed all its leaves on three fans overnight, plus more than half the leaves on the remaining fans. Estimate about fifteen dead leaves. So this pic is just the toast, without the dead leaves...
A top view of it from this morning (about three weeks later)...
And side view from this morning...
You can sort of see the dead fans, and remains of fans that still have at least a green leaf. Pretty sad, huh? No idea what it's potted in. I'm afraid to shock it any further than it's already been shocked for now. That's a 2" pot it's in. I may see growth in the next decade, and hopefully flowers within the next 100 years.

You'd be surprised... these little guys can bloom on very small plants.

WW, the one on my picture did the same thing with its smaller growth as yours (lost fans), luckily the main growth was mainly unaffected on mine.
But the roots on yours look really good so in time I think yours should produce a new growth - that is what they do, bush out. Might be a while with yours but I don't think it is toast yet.

Well, thanks guys. I have it in a mini fishbowl by my computer so I can remember to mist it. I'm likely more concerned it won't make it due to my sometimes benign neglect. The temps in my orchid grow space are really fluctuating right now, and I know it doesn't want to be a guinea pig yet.
Not a great way to introduce myself to Neo growing, but I'm sure trying!

Sorry lost in translation, but what do you all use onion bags for in the context of neof growing?

I made a really cool mount using part of a net bag from onions yesterday. Filled bag with medium size Orchiata bark, in shape of ball. Wrapped sphag over outside of ball, attached the Neo. Sitting on kitchen counter.

Then the dog ate it.
Ps I completely missed the last part, sorry to hear about that ww

Dogs will be dogs. Sure isn't the worst thing they've ever gotten hold of.
