Get that thing outta here and over to DC's Root Porn thread! Talk about an untidy mount!

Don't DC... just don't.

Well, my quest for the best way to mount my Neo to a cool soapstone base is over. This thread can quietly slip down the ranks and die a lonely death. Now a definitely moot point.

I made a really cool mount using part of a net bag from onions yesterday. Filled bag with medium size Orchiata bark, in shape of ball. Wrapped sphag over outside of ball, attached the Neo. Sitting on kitchen counter.

Cow broke a fence, was visiting neighbors. Husband hollered for me to come assist with rounding it back up. I finally get back in house, and dogs must have thought...Hey, what a cool looking ball! Let's play! Four 75# dogs... half hour later...

So much for having nice things...

How long to use up another 6-8 onions so you can have the bag?

We eat a LOT of onions. Probably go through a bag every week and a half at least. But if I want more bag I'd just dump them in a bowl. Priorities!

It sucks, and yeah, it was toast. The one you sent me. Double sorry. I have a tiny one, but I'll likely be dead before it blooms. Not feeling very deserving at the moment...

Thanks buddy. Perhaps by then I'll feel more deserving and responsible. Right now I'm still mortified. Damned dogs.

PS No dogs were harmed by this trauma, but did all receive a significant chastising. They're just too darned cute and clueless to stay mad. And can reach some places they really shouldn't be able to reach. I let them keep the "ball."
