This might be a contentious issue.
What do you believe the correct pronunciation is?
This poll will close in 7 days.
At the end of the poll I will give my thoughts for what it is worth.

None of the above.
The genus is named after a French botanist named Finet, which is pronounced “Fee-NAY”, making the genus “Nee-oh-Fee-NAY-ee-ah”.

I believe the third option recognizes its origin Finet.

Yes, but it left out the penultimate syllable.

The “ia” is easily pronounceable at the end of option 1 but not 3 where it is awkward and best left out in my mind and replaced by “ah”

Now that the poll is over.....
I was surprised about the lack of participation or interest.
I did not vote. I pronounce it according to option 1 although I am aware, as Ray is, of its origin. Many years ago, the AOS magazine had a pronouncing index page indicating recognition of its origin Finet. I don't recall whether it was consistent with my option 3 or Ray's pronunciation.
